Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces

A comeback Medvedev secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition final.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.

This represents his maiden title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt from March of that year.

Victory also signifies Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 various tournaments.

"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is particularly special," commented ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in Halle in the past months.

Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.

However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.

Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the final five points to go ahead.

Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.

He saved four initial chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Appropriately, he secured the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
